She does use a magnifier but only for threading the needle. Other than that, just a good pair of varifocals (she did go to SpecSavers
).Mrs. mart has been a crafter for many years now. The cross stitch pictures she has done have had the same meticulous attention. I'll photograph some when the light is better.

She puts a lot of effort into getting things exactly right. She occasionally makes a mistake and comes to show me. I can never see it myself but she knows it's there and so takes all the beads off back as far as the mistake and rebuilds it over again.
Others she has done (such as flowers and miniature trees) look more impressive to me but below are the ones she is most pleased with. The tealight is made using the same size tiny beads. The tape measure is a cover that goes over a plastic one. The bead in the middle is the retractor button.
