Yep have to agree with he others. Getting sharp pictures of small insects ain't easy even if they have to be PP.

Realspeed, I agree you have to be both prepared and fast when taking this sort of shot, but it's my experience that any image that isn't in focus in camera will never be sharpened through post processing.

Once an image has been reduced in size for the web, then some sharpness will be lost due to the algorithms employed in that image reduction.

It's that loss can be recovered in post processing, but the image has to be sharp to begin with.

The shot of the bee in flight is purely down to observing the bee's behaviour. When arriving at, or departing from, a flower, the bee will hover for a second - and that's the time to ambush the little blighters.

Without auto focus, these shots would be impossible without a bucketful of luck.
