No I don't. I have it permanently off on all my cameras, thinking it shortens battery life. We are talking about bees on a sunny day here, but I'll give it a go anyway. Thanks.

There are three macro lenses for M43:
Panasonic 30mm, Leica 45mm, Olympus 60mm.

I decided upon the Leica, a good all round lens, but the AF system is the oldest and slowest. I knew that before buying. It's fab for portraits, table top photography of small objects, coins etc. 1:1 magnification .... just a bit too slow for those pesky honey bees at work.

Having said that, I'm looking forward to trying again this year, now I've got the knack of focusing on something then refocusing on the subject a second or two later.

I haven't finished yet.

I hope to remember to use the focus limiter next time.

Re: More Macros

This spider was shade less than the size of a match head and she was busy building/repairing her web. How she managed that is totally beyond me as she was being blown about in the wind like nobody's business.

For her size, it must have been like being in a force 12 gale. For me it was a gentle breeze, a zephyr, which made keeping her in the focal plane nigh on impossible.

Focusing on something so small that was bouncing all over the frame proved to be impossible, so I had to resort to manual focus and shoot her when she passed through the focal plane of about 2-3mm.
