But if doctor & patient have had the vaccine this shouldn't be necessary surely?

Re: Let’s not bash the doctors

I am no longer satisfied with my surgery and to make it worse, today I heard that my doctor, who was very good, has left the practice.

Too many mistakes are being made with these telephone call backs.

Re: Let’s not bash the doctors

Tony had a dementia check up by phone the other week.

What a waste of time!! The doctor only spoke to me.
He couldn't see if Tony was unkempt or the empty look in his eyes.

They are missing vital information because they can't see them.

Re: Let’s not bash the doctors

These days, I have noticed that the initial message you get when you ring the doctor’s surgery has got longer!

You go through the Covid bit, then your privacy bit, how to contact them online, then about self referral and then the list of options. You press the option you require, then a doctors message comes on.
You have spent about ten minutes plus hanging about until you eventually get through... but then you’re placed in a queue!

Is it any wonder people either give up and suffer, or just die instead...

Re: Let’s not bash the doctors

It occurs to me that there will be many people who don't see a problem with how the Surgery is performing.

I think that's because, in your teens, you hardly contact a Doctor, you feel as fit as a fiddle, and you might have little sympathy, for those older than you, who keep claiming that the service is not up to scratch.

After all, if you only call them once or twice, every couple of years, what's the worry?

Those at the higher levels, of age & infirmity, will be calling in much more.

They are the ones who need more consultations.

Trouble is, they might well be the ones who cannot use the net, are not fully up for the mobile phone, and are not so good at describing (rather than showing) their symptoms.

Watch out for the oldies being castigated, more & more, for this!

Ted, ln those days, you just went to the doctors and queued until it was your turn.

These days, l have been able to wash my hair and dry it whilst ‘on hold’ at the end of the phone!

Even though we know it's airborne? I could understand decontam last year but we all go to the supermarket or if not then deliveries. How high risk is touch? Breathing is the problem.

Yep, you would not believe how Blase Doctors were to this Pandemic, at the start, and, how many Staff they infected.
