The Curse of the Mobile Phone

I told all my family "Don't text me, I can't reply, I've got no credit & I'm not getting any, it's a rip off!"
Of course they do and I can't.
Do you find them a blessing or a curse?
Do you feel you have to reply to texts immediately before you get a "?" reminder when you fail to respond?
How often have you been glad to have one in your bag or pocket, said "Thank goodness I had my phone!"
Just wondering....

They are a good thing if used for emergencies .....
Otherwise they get on me nerves - they're everywhere !!

Re: The Curse of the Mobile Phone

I have a very ancient Nokia phone which has a habit of turning itself off just when I have typed a long text

I used predicted text and don't always read what I type so my obscure messages are a standing joke among the family
'Do you want spawns (prawns) for lunch' has now become a standard nanna message understood by all .

I reply to texts when I feel like it and never use the phone for calls because it is too expensive.

I use the camera on my old Sony more than the phone!

Camera I don't have a camera on mine , it does light up though but not for sufficient time to read a message

Realised I had lost mine the other day, looked for it and then confessed to my husband who said I wondered when you notice it gone, he had it since Easter when I left it behind in the caravan

Re: The Curse of the Mobile Phone

the first one i had ..pay as you go..had £10 in credit for about 3 years ...i only got it for emergencies when i was driving...so hardly used it .I think they are good for emergencies...but i hate to see people walking along with them glued to their ear....and i'd never have one of these expensive ones that do everything except the ironing...
