Happy as pig in .......

I attended Doctor's surgery this morning for my Diabetic review. My bathroom scales are not accurate they read 15st, whereas I'm actually only 13st 12lb.

My Cholesterol (total) is only 4.3 - target is to get it below 4.0

Blood glucose (HbA1c) - target is below 53 - mine is actually only 41.


Kidney function is also good.


Doctor has now prescribed Metformin to assist in reducing blood sugal levels even further and apparently I also need a folic acid??? supplement.

All in all I'm a very happy bunny!!!

Gosh UJ you sound a lot healthier than I am well done..

I don't want to worry you but folic acid is given to pregnant women , is there something you aren't telling us

Yes Meg darlin' so I've been told - but apparently its all to do with the Diabetes too - something to do with the pancreas and liver and NO!!! - definitely not changing sex - I'm happy right where I am - relaxing in MY armchair with the television remote control firmly in my grip!!!

Didn't he do well?
I'm not good with the mmol numbers .. my average, when I do the prick test is quite low about 5.0.
I've worked hubbies out in comparison with yours Geoff and it is about the same but hubby injects insulin twice a day
