Hi Gerry, Actually they are a lot less work then other breeds. I keep Biz between a utility cut and show cut. Easy to comb out and it doesn't mat as bad as a full show cut when he plays outside. I spend about 1/2 hr every other week to keep him looking like he does. Right before a show though it takes about three days 2 hrs a day to strip, and pluck them, and get them ready for a show. I always hand strip my Bouvs and never use clippers, its all hand work except for trimming feet and beards with thinning shears. As for washing outside of show time its twice a year. The trick is to learn to do the grooming yourself. Biz actually loves to be on the table. Its very personal one on one time.
