Elsie

Further to this mornings good morning thread ....

Back from the vet and digesting what he has said, he believes the tumour is causing the problem, pressing on part of the brain causing epileptic type fitting, he wants her referred to a hospital where they are more set up for brain operations as he doesn't feel confident operating himself. Says an expert is needed.

After the weekend I think it is time to get more help with this so we are awaiting the appointment at the hospital.

Her biting was just confusion he has explained how to help her without getting in her way and causing her to bite us, so that's good as it was a worry with kids here I can't take too many chances.

Will update as we find out more.

Re: Elsie

Hope you can get her seen to soon. Yes, it makes sense to stay out of her way until she has come fully to. But our first reaction is to get close to them for reassurance! I wish her well.

Re: Elsie

That sounds pretty serious Julie, poor Elsie. She probably didn't even realise she'd bitten you, she was probably scared what was happening to her. I'm sure she'd never have hurt you deliberately.
Being practical, is she insured and do you know which veterinary hospital you will have to travel to?
Noel Fitzpatrick is not that far from you is he?

Re: Elsie

Julie I really feel for you because the news may not be good. Whatever happens I know you will make the right decision for Elsie but I am hoping that decision wont be the one that I know you will not want to make. Good luck!

Re: Elsie

I am so sorry to hear Elsie is not in the best of health, poorly pets are such a worry. I do hope all goes well for Elsie, I can well believe how distressing it must be for you as well as Elsie.
