A car bearing diplomatic plates becomes an extension of the embassy in every way and all that implies. A "diplomat" does not need to be driving a car with CD plates to drive roughshod through our traffic laws, all of them, in such a case it is the person who is immune from all of the laws of the host nation.

Run your mind back to the siege of the Libyan Embassy .
A young woman PC was shot in the stomach and died on the street outside .
Shot by one who walked out with “diplomatic immunity”
They got away with murdering a policewoman in the plain light of day.

She was shot by an unknown gunman...there was no proof of it being a diplomat with immunity.

You don't know that...no one knows that all the staff had immunity...I wonder if the domestic staff had immunity...

Pauline if you carry on in this fashion no one will want to discuss anything with you .

You are being deliberately obtuse .

It’s unpleasant and leads to the thread being derailed .

Why do you want to do that ?
