Re: Australian Fires

If it was arson, I don't see how any evidence could still be there to find even?

I just hope there are no 'copy-cat' crimes to follow.
So much has been lost now.

A 2015 satellite analysis of 113,000 fires from 1997-2009 confirmed what we had known for some time – 40 per cent of fires are deliberately lit, another 47 per cent accidental. This generally matches previous data published a decade earlier that about half of all fires were suspected or deliberate arson, and 37 per cent accidental. Combined, they reach the same conclusion: 87 per cent are man-made.

A couple of swear words.

But a great insight.

As you say Galty, a great insight! A bit loaded to the denial side of
the argument but makes you think?
I find it difficult to believe the figures for deliberate arson events but
have experienced isolated arson attempts myself in a similar
enviroment and conditions but for the numbers quoted in the link
to be credible l struggle to believe? especially given the educational
level of ozzies population???
However the time will come to find the causes, the priority now is to
minimise the damage and survive!
Donkeyman!
