I agree with you sadly though that isn't what I see around me, people brag about their luck and hard work and how much their house is worth. Not attractive sight I can tell you.

Shouldn't we all be grateful ? even down here with no savings and NMW struggling with cost of living going up we are not starving, some countries in the world they would consider us all rich beyond their wildest dreams.

On a global scale, you are absolutely correct but in the domestic arena, I cannot agree.

But you should still be able to find something to be grateful for - are you working 16 hours a day in a manual job with a knee 3 times the size it should be on tramadol and knowing you have another 10 years at least to keep working because of pension age changes ? because bad as that sounds my husband somehow finds he is grateful he has a job and one if he weren't in so much pain he would enjoy.

There is always something to be grateful for, you are alive have savings and a pension, many in England will never have that.
