GEB maturity value

My Gteed Equity Bond (or 1 of 3) matured last week. I got the first letter stating they would write again with options but just decided to phone them.

Am I pleased with the final amount, or what? I invested £3,500 into this and it's given me. £1,100 profit, over 6 years of investment! (The other two are £5,100 and £5,000, maturing in 2016.)

I think that tidy sum will give me the new computer I desire, and money towards a nice holiday in the sun about next March, don't you?

Have to wait a bit longer for the funds to reach my account, but I can manage that (we did that over the phone.)

Re: GEB maturity value

We've got two FTSE100 linked that mature next year and coincide with my state pension and two small occupational pensions. They should hopefully return 50% tax free over 7 years. My last one delivered 57% over 5 years.

Re: GEB maturity value

All our GEBs were bought at pretty well the lowest points of the FTSE100 so they looked like a good bet. The ones that mature next year are linked to Stocks&Shares ISAs and are tax free. I wouldn't buy a FTSE linked one at present.

Re: GEB maturity value

I'm putting the capital of £3,500 into Premium Bonds now. Don't want it tied up anymore, and hopefully I'll get a chance of some small wins.

I live in hope.
