Re: Strictly Come Dancing.

Does anybody else think it's all got a bit 'tacky' and over the top? I used to love it but they waste so much time with scripted fill-in prior to actually dancing it puts me off.

I will admit I record so that I can skip these embarressing cutsey little scenes..I used to record so I could avoid Brucie and its just become a habit..

Showing a bit of practice or a highlight is ok but all the silly stuff is just time wasting and detracts from the show.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing.

I agree Cass, I used to view it as a competition, where one of the best dancers won in the end, but these scripted stories of how they spent their training are obviously marketing gimmicks, and are not working for me!

I record it Annie and skip the first 10 mins of people arriving.
I also fast forward through the little 'playlets', I watch the programme to see the dancing not poorly written fluff .
I can't stand Tess-what's-her name either with her inane waffling and wish she had gone when the awful 'Brucie' and his embarrassingly poor jokes went.

It would be good to have a 'no nonsense' Compère preferably male .

Strictly come dancing? Is that a TV show or foreplay. God knows what my wife would say, if I tried that on!

Yes, it is a bit tacky and all the contestants sound the same to me. Tried to watch it once or twice but couldn't hack the squealing. I still watch the dancing even though I criticise it. I love dancing.
