Keyboard letters.

Some of the most used white letters on my black keyboard have all but faded away.

Is there a way to restore them or do I have to buy a new keyboard?

But they very rarely, if ever, come up in letter writing.

Re: Keyboard letters.

Carol, I think its better just to buy a new keyboard, they are not expensive, I might have to buy one myself soon as the keys are getting stuck.

Ez, Girls learn how to Touch Type at School, like I did, I don't even have to look at the keyboard or the screen when typing.

Its good though that you have now memorised the letters on your keyboard.

Re: Keyboard letters.

If you want to do something with the worn out letters on the existing keyboard, carry out an Internet search using the term 'english uk keyboard stickers'. There are lots to choose from. It might be necessary to do all the keys if you want them to match though.

Basic keyboards are not expensive and buying another one might be the best and easiest thing to do. The keyboard I chose was not so inexpensive but it is a Logitech illuminated one (wired) that I think was well worth the money.

I can see the large letters etc. in low light and I've had it for years without them wearing out. The reason being that they aren't painted on. The lettering is transparent so that the light (adjustable level) shines through.

Re: Keyboard letters.

I purchased this budget model 3 years ago as a stopgap but, thereafter, I never felt the need to replace it:

Re: Keyboard letters.

The most worn key on my keyboard is the scroll down key. Some others are a bit loose where Olivia tried to prise them off when she was a bit bored.

Re: Keyboard letters.

I bought one of these 3 or 4 years ago ... cute little thing, wireless too. Still looking as good as new.
