We Canberrans could not be being spoiled more silly
By ausseagirl · · From Pic of the Week
This rare gem, in the reserved-for-Spring-only-party-flower-crown, is Tulip Top Gardens, a privately owned work of art, which sits in a hidden valley just north of Canberra on the Federal Highway. With fabulously festive things well and truly on the go in and around the city centre, this is the place where old fashioned romance, and some seriously restful vibes, reside. The gardens opened their gates this weekend and will be turning on the charm for the next month. I could not recommend a visit more highly. Or better still, if you’re a local, grab one of their season passes and really sink into all the wonderful that is Spring.

Morning mangroves
By Terry Lewin · · From Pic of the Week
An early morning photo of mangroves in the Hunter Wetlands National Park (Kooragang Wetlands, Ash Island), with the South Arm of the Hunter River in the midground. Mangroves provide breeding nurseries and help to stabilise riverbanks.

A beautiful raptor
By estebanthenatureman · · From Pic of the Week
Square-tailed Kite - A beautiful raptor that visits us around September - we see solo birds circling above our town but rarely do I get one so close.
