Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Lovely sunshine here but quite a wind blowing . My daughter called down , they really enjoyed Egypt .
Workmen are on the beach with lorries delivering huge quarry stones and shoring up the slippage we had during the bad storms of about 2 yrs ago . Very noisy

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Lovely day yesterday but back to the rain today.
Had some sad news yesterday,my ex next door neighbour had died suddenly and one of my friend's brother had committed suicide. Hope today isn't so sad.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Went with U3A to Westonbirt Arboretum yesterday and must have walked miles. Thoroughly enjoyed it, the colours were wonderful and we certainly picked the right day. Only spoilt by the arrangements for lunch, the restaurant being run ragged because hundreds of people picked yesterday to go and see the trees and I paid £6.85 for a cheese toastie, that took forever to arrive so I finished up eating half on the bus on the way to see Westonbirt House! So tired last night that I was in bed by 10 pm and fast asleep a few minutes later!

Change in the weather today, and the forecast for tomorrow is horrendous.
Goodness knows where those stones will be by Saturday Jac.

Very blustery morning.Luckily my dog didn't want to go far in fact we were only out about 10mts if that.

Had my first smile from my g.grandson yesterday,a real joyful moment.

What a day! Don't envy my cousin flying home to Bristol this evening. Managed to get my income tax details sorted ready to go to the accountant - now waiting for the printer to behave itself. Seems to take about 20 minutes to think about printing anything.... Grrr!!

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Was going to some shopping this morning but the postie warned me not to go out-the road was flooded in some parts and my little car would have been swamped so I might try later to get somewhere. It's been really stormy even had lightening.
Keep safe.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Ghastly day, no heating and leaks everywhere on south facing windowsills and the conservatory. However, boiler man has been and fixed that and youngest son came and did what he could to fix the leaks. Did some shopping so now we're all warm and stocked up and I think the wind and rain are easing a bit.
