I loath kidney, it always seems to taste of what it does to me.

I have just put a lamb hot pot on the bottom of the oven to slow cook for the rest of the day. Smells lush. With runner beans and broc. methinks.

Fending for myself today, so I think lunch will be turkey sausages, simmered with peppers and onions, brown rice, spinach salad.

If you've got a nice big marrow, a place to 'hang it' and want to try, I'm happy to talk you through the recipe.

I chat to an elderly gent who walks past with his dog most mornings. He told that he had some marrow rum on the go and had it hanging in an old stocking behind the kitchen door. His daughter had arrived for a 'good clean up' had found the marrow and not knowing (or asking) what it was just threw it in the green garden waste bin. Poor old chap was devastated.

Oh bloody 'ell Cate darlin' - I bet he was very p*ssed off!!! Marrow Whisky (or marrow rum) is fabulous - albeit its very potent and if you're not used to it, it'll blow your head off.
