Re: What is it - Mystery Object challenge.

Here's a real tough one.

Hint: It never was sharp, or pointed. Not even when new.
Metal 'blade' is rather thicker than a knife.

Re: What is it - Mystery Object challenge.

Since we have a new object, I shall cut this one short and reveal the third use of the building. It houses the entrance to a cave. I'm not sure if it is still open to the public but it certainly used to be.

The yellow thing below and to the left of the observatory are guard rails at the other end of the cave where you can look straight down and across the gorge of the River Avon.

Here it is visible through the supports of the Clifton Suspension Bridge with the muddy bank of the river below.

Wow ! That was quick. The "knife" is jammed into the "hinge" side of the oyster and twisted hard. The shell then pops open.
Professionals can open oysters at a rate of 12-14/minute.
Good job, Basser.

Here's an unusual but easy one.

I'm sticking my neck out here, but I'd say that's an ice cream cone, a '99' to be precise!

It looks as if the contraption the cone is stuck in is about to fire it into space.

One would say that symbol is usually to be found on an ice cream van, but it appears to be on some sort of boat, along with a bicycle.

An 'ice cream boat' then?
