Marge did exactly that this morning, as she took a selfie in order to aid her in doing a self-portrait. It wasn't very flattering, and the resulting portrait likewise!
Further to my last, I thought perhaps I should post the self-portrait. It is entitled 'After the Shower'.

You can see what I'm faced with every morning. I'd like to think I have your sympathy!

Not I. But I wonder about Marge sometimes!
(Admittedly, I think there's an element of exaggeration in there. She's experimenting with different styles.)

I could be wrong but I seem to remember that professional photographers taking a portrait will use a short telephoto lens at some distance.
