No, definitely no deal. We should not give into what amounts to blackmail. Give the Iranians a good smacking - it's what they deserve, IMO. In spite of any sympathy we may have for Mrs Ratcliffe, we should not allow her plight to influence our decisions over what could turn out to be a very serious situation.

That's their prerogative. I think it stinks but its their business and nothing to do with us. She's an Iranian woman, she's in Iran, her Iranian nationality must take precedence over everything else when she's in Iran.

By your own logic then Israel is nothing to do with us at all and we should not be putting Sanctions on Iran.

The imposition of sanctions on Iran are not linked to Israel in any way other than provided for under joint defence treaties.

Hunt has had to ask for EU help in protecting UK Flagged shipping in the Gulf.

They cannot be allowed to continue hijacking shipping and if sanctions don't work, maybe if we don't do it perhaps a joint effort is necessary. What would you suggest - just roll over and let them do what they want? They are deliberately being seriously provocative and out of order, IMO.
