Last night was treated to a large baked dinner. roast lamb, potatoes, punkin, carrots, peas and sprouts and smothered in gravey. Had triffle and custard for desert.
I felt so uncomfortable Full. Can't remember the last time I ate a Roast meal BUT it will be the last for the next decade or two.

I couldn't agree more Joe. We have our eldest son and his wife here for a Sunday roast today. That'll be the end of the beef then!

Re: What are you having for lunch/dinner?

Boys are home this weekend end of army training for one so we have splashed out on a half price lamb joint and will do new potatoes and peas with it.

My husband is doing a chocolate roulade type dessert which is nephews favourite too

I am having a vegetarian sausage with the veg.

And doing fish cakes for grand niece as she is not eating red meat at the moment, got a feeling she is heading for vegetarianism herself like her mum and I but we are letting her make her own mind up.

I agree , has to be roast on Sunday , but then when you live in a cold country you don't mind the hot oven being on for a few hours.

I dragged a dust covered George Foreman Grill from on top of the fridge. Boy it makes luvly toasted sarnies. I get 2 frozen pieces of bread from the freezer, add some sliced tomatoes and onion with a little salt, slap it in George for 6 mins on medium and the hot sarney is awesome .
