I am not going to pander to the heat or humidity and so will have a steak & kidney pudding, potato and steamed veg with gravy. For 'pud' I can either have a magnum choc ice, or a fruit pie and custard. I also have lots of 'proper' fruit too so could round off the meal with some of that.

Tomatoe and courgette bake, with some toasted garlic bread, followed by strawberries and yoghurt, and a nice cup of tea !

Re: What are you having for lunch/dinner?

Ain't it good what a little imagination, plus vaguely recalled cookery programme can produce from assorted contents of 'fridge? Have just prepared a supper for my son for when he comes home tonight. Diced up some left over boiled new pots, put into shallow oven dish with some whole cherry toms, chunks of chorizo, halved tiny shallots, and slices of haloumi, drizzled over some olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then sprinkled some garlic and herb seasoning. Will bung into medium oven about half an hour before he is due home. Pity there were no red peppers, maybe next time.
