A poem by joyce.

This is a little poem written by Joyce for a competition at a Drop in Centre for the Mentally Ill.She can no longer read or write.

Anyone from Merseyside will appreciate it,

My voice has the tone of Liverpool scouse,

and a football ground looked over our house.

We had Beatles and Caverns and a Cast-Iron Shore,

A Tunnel,a Race Course and many things more.

We`ve a Cathredral too many .

(they`re two a penny)

But we have docks that are dead.

and we lost our Pier Head,

I miss the old place,

But I love the new face of my city.

Written by my Joyce about 6 years ago. C.

That's really smashing Jimbo.

A word of advice though, don't forget to put the copyright symbol at the bottom, and the approximate date. If you can't do the copyright symbol just use (c).

It's so sad that she can no longer read, nor write.

Did Joyce win the competition Jimbo? - I think her poem would have deserved to be in with the winners. Thank you for sharing.

Re: A poem by joyce.

Hi friends...thank you for all your kind comments.

I have tried to explain to Joyce about how the poem was liked by everybody who read it.......I think she understood!!!

She wrote lots of other poems BUT they have all disappeared like lots of other things.

Thanks again
