Naturally

They only fear one thing and that is the UK simply walking away (aka No Deal) and that's because that actually DOES mean we leave.

They know now, from the traitorous shenanigans of parliament this week that the "walk away" option will not be permitted. They will be most pleased about that.

So that just leaves the UK going with Mays absolutely terrible deal (which is what the EU wants) or revoking Article 40 completely. Either way they win. The UK stays in the EU.

By refusing an extension they increase the posibility that our corrupt parliament will cancel BrExit completely.

The whole thing is a disgusting sham of epic proportions.

We are being prevented from Leaving from all sides by elites and UK traitors in government.

The EU will never compromise its 'fundamental principles' to assist us to escape, that is far too dangerous because it sets a precedent for others to follow.
Meg, my question really was, why MacMerk made the statements
They made( WE SHOULD VETO UKs APPLICATION FOR AN
EXTENSION ), if they do we are OUT???

But the other side of the coin is that if an extension is
denied we are also very likely to fall out by default due to
the time factor between now and exit date?
Am l missing something Realist?

What you're missing is that, when parliament returns after prorogation in october, they have only 2 weeks to avoid no deal exit. The only way to do that is revoking A50. Boris has succeeded in keeping the UK in the EU.
Like I said, boris may be many things, but he loves his country. He will never have it suffer the consequences of a no deal brexit.

I know why countries like yours are desperate to keep the UK in the EU.

For the last 40 years you have seen the UK as your protector from Germany. As well as that, most (if not all) of your 26 countries have experienced German occupation and then liberation by the UK in both of the world wars. As long as the UK is there, you're safe...

The UK leaving the EU scares you to death.

Your countries signed up to the EU because you knew that being economically subversive to Germany nowhere near as bad as being physical subversive, but as along as the good old UK was there, this would never happen... the UK who has defended and liberated you from Germany twice, and as an EU member just a stones throw away, will always come to your rescue.

But we are leaving your block on October 31st !

Germany already controls the Eurozone. It is the Deutsch Mark in another name, rolled out to those countries stupid enough to buy into it. The only way these countries can control their economies now is through austerity - look how Germany has them well and truly by the bollocks... step out of line, you will be punished from Germany by austerity measures. They can't devalue their currency any more - they have no centralised treasury. Only borrowing from their German masters can help them at interest rates dictated by them.

And then along comes the EU Army... this one is a real wolf in sheep clothing. You think you are all going to join together and defend yourselves as a block... hilarious. What the EU Army means is that Germany are giving the 26 a military amnesty, where you willl lay down your armed forces so Germany can take over your military, your air force, your navy, weapons, tanks, planes etc and control you and the rest of the member states with them. Why should Germany pay for its own military when it can just take yours and the other member states ? It's no coincidence that your new Dear Leader is a German ex defence minister, appointment by ex communist Merkel and will control your country first from Brussels and then from Berlin.

It's no wonder the EU is going to leave NATO at some point. It just gets in the way.

Re: Is EU on leaves side??

In The Times
Rebel Tory MPs and opposition leaders received private assurances from European leaders that a request by parliament for a three-month Brexit extension would be granted in one last attempt to break the deadlock.

The Times understands that senior figures behind the bill to force an extension on Boris Johnson cleared their plan with EU capitals before it was published this week. They received reassurances that the European Council, which is made up of EU leaders, would not stand in the way of one final extension if it was approved by parliament.

David Jones @DavidJonesMP
Member of Parliament for Clwyd West.

Todayís Times report makes it clear that senior EU figures gave private assurances to British MPs, as a consequence of which they supported the Surrender Bill. This confirms the level of EU interference in our internal affairs and makes the need for Brexit all the more pressing.
What chance has Johnson got to do any deal when all the time Remainers are going behind his back to do secret deals with the EU...

Especially when you think about the reason there is this present extension. To ratify the present deal, under the condition the UK wouldn't ask for renegotiations. The EU has the same patience with the UK as a parent with his child that is too young/stupid to understand.
In essence the UK and boris are just breaking their promise of not asking for negotiations.

Oh dear, more paranoia. You probably think itís all a dastardly plot invented by George Soros

Why are you so scared of man EU army? When we leave , if they want to have one thatís up to them

If any country would be dominant it would be France as their military night is greater than ours and far exceeds that of Germany
