I don't have a religion, I used to have faith in humanity but, I'm losing that rapidly.
The only observation I can make is that neither makes you a better person only you and your conscience cam do that.

I am not sure we would all like that - when God intervenes he often does it in ways that leave the human race teetering on the edge of extinction and I have no reason to think he would allow anyone who hates to live if he did decide to mete out justice. So both sides in the recent horrors may get a nasty shock.
