Send for the Cavalry

3500 Troops in readiness for a No Deal Brexit. All businesses warned to make contingency plans.

Are we going to be at War?

Hi

That really is Project Fear, a nonsense.

The fact is we have not made the essential provisions for leaving, the basics,

We do not need 3500 troops, we need the computer systems and information and support for our exporters.

The Government are trying to hide their incompetence and force through Mays proposals.

'A nonsense' that is costing us a bloody fortune.

We shouldn't be leaving. This is the biggest national self harm there has been in the memory of man.

3500 troops have been put 'on stand by' should they be needed.

The government has come up against reality.

The troops are probably in anticipation of any civil unrest caused by the whingers/window smashers/car wreckers etc.

Re: Send for the Cavalry

I have a horrible feeling no matter how we leave or don't there are some in this country hell bent on chaos, if they have troops on alert I'd say it's for that more than anything else.

Saw a few people wearing masks last night walking through the town centre threatening people, police are neutered by TMs cuts, we may need the troops just to keep order.

''Are we going to be at War''

No I hope not but it is good to see some serious preparations being made for our departure from the EU in March .
If the French decide to play silly beggars at the ports we may need some help keeping things moving.

I understand one of the EU officials said the other day they want the UK to ''Feel a bleak midwinter'' a lovely sentiment from our so called friends in Europe

I think the EU have not have taken our assertions that if need be we will leave without a deal seriously, perhaps they might now.
Apparently, the country that will feel the most pain if we do just walk away is Ireland, something for Leo Varadkar to ponder over Christmas.

It mystifies me why they want to punish themselves ? we buy far more from them so if they make us suffer we won't be buying so much it's politicians again with no foot in the real world where people's jobs are at stake.

Makes sense to have our troops on stand by. Good move by the government.

True, we have to pay their wages anyway so why not use them?

My guess is that their role will be to help keep everything moving at the UK end.

Wonder who will be helping at the EU end?
