Galty I have it because I don't want to ever get the flu again. I nearly died of the flu last time because I just couldn't keep myself hydrated enough or keep my fever down. Ended up in hospital on a drip. But it was the most horrible experience as I had a really severe strain, pure suffering for three weeks. I was a sceptic and had refused the vaccine for years before I contracted it. Now I have the jab every year as I'd rather do all I can even if it's not perfect, at least it's partly effective so the more who have it the better chance we all have.
Was slightly ill for about a month.
Came down with what I thought was full blown Flu
at the start of DEC.
This was over a 5 day period.
Unable to get off my bed to even get water(I live alone)
No way will I have the Flu jab again but will have the Pumonion(SP) one every five years because that can kill me if I catch something llke the Flu.
