Can anyone explain how JL can justify spending £7M on this? Yes, a great song (IMO) but what the hell has it got to do with Christmas? Do you think it is designed not to ''offend''? Considering how simple the Ad is, it makes you wonder how much Sir Elt managed to scoop from it.

With the High Street disappearing, Shouldn't shops like John Lewis (and partners of course) be saving money where possible?

Saw this ad the other night and wondered what it was for right up to the last few seconds...ofc the flipping JL xmas advert...nice ad but total waste of money and always OTT..

I quite like the advertisement it is thought-provoking some gifts are more than 'just a gift' they are life changing.

It make me think of my son getting his first Atari computer one Christmas putting him on the path to starting his own businesses .....

Can't stand Elton John - but the ad is pathetic anyway. Last year's one with the trampoline takes a bit of beating - not sure if that was JL or someone else.

Gonna take a chance posting this and hope nobody complains.

It's a complete p*** take on the 2014 JL Christmas advert.....there is some very bad language in it so if you're easily offended please don't watch!
