17.4 million votes for out end of but MP's cannot get their heads around that

Why?

We could trade with the world under WTO rules and, in the meantime, formulate and agree trade deals with them.

It is NOT an impossible or an 'unthinkable' option.

Moreover, it is what 17.4 million people voted for.
Completely agree and much as I blame our MPs I blame remainers too who are for some reason expecting a compromise, the vote was in or out if it said a mishmash in the middle I wouldn't have voted and I doubt many leavers would have done either.

So, it appears that Parliamentary sovereignty does not mean you have to respect the will of the people or the result of a democratic referendum.

The referendum bill was very clear in that it was advisory and the only obligation placed upon the government was that they had to consider it when forming policy

The government could have made it legally binding when drafting the Bill but for whatever reason they chose not to

The phrase “will of the people” seems to have been adopted by the leave campaign from as phrase use in Nazi German propaganda
