Commie Corbyn has ordered his party to vote down May's BrExit deal but some are threatening to defy the whip, which of course is par for the course in the Looney camp. Corbyn holds about as much authority as a scout leader.

Should be highly entertaining to watch what happens as the Looney party descends into more splits and chaos.
Vince Cable was on TV this morning saying exactly this.

At least he's polite, I don't agree with much he says but he does it nicely, others in the debate could learn a lot from him and JRM who is also polite to all sides.

OK. Fair enough, but it would be a little more appealing if his rise to power wasn't entirely down to a complete collapse of the Tories, and included some inspirational policies from himself instead.

Will you then also refer to Labour as the "scumbag 'nasty party'"?

It was BBC along with their usual Brexit doom-mongering and melancholic music.

Already had those - the re-nationalisation of our utilities and the rail companies.

Julie the 2 party political system is a complete sham and has been for many many years. It creates the illusion of democracy, the illusion of choice, but in reality both parties represent the same thing, they both work for the real party/rulers who run the show. For the past 40 years that has been the EU. Any vote for Tory or Labour in that time has been a vote for the EU and a vote to move us ever deeper into its clutches.

I said back in 2016 that they would never allow us to leave the EU and that when that happened, people would finally realise that they DON'T live in a democracy at all.

BrExit has called the elite's bluff, and they have no hand to play other than the farcical circus performance that has played out these past 2 years. It's just a pantomime designed to limit the damage of a population finally realising it has been duped for years.

Nothing will change without some form of revolution.

Voting for Jezbollah Corbyn would achieve nothing. You would get a Marxist state in place of what we now have, but it would still all be controlled by the EU.

The population now need to reject the entire political system. It is a complete sham. We must insist on a different system. One which is operated by giving the population numerous referendums on all key matters.

It shouldn't matter which specific party or people are undertaking the political roles. What matters is that the people are given referendums on all key issues. That can never happen whilst the Labour/Tory "establishment" persists.

Yes ! I agree I have always said there are people in all parties that are good and have great ideas but they are held back by their parties. We need a different system but watch the political elite hang onto their jobs like never before if that starts to happen.

I know that you are far more knowledgeable than me about this sort of thing. Please could you provide details of other countries with nationalised companies such as you describe that operate these well and indeed far better than the privatised sector.? Genuine question
