Re: Internet Providers monthly cost

I turned the internet off in my own home as the rising cost was getting me so angry. When I first started out with Virgin Media I had the Internet, TV and Landline for £30 a month, I first got rid of the phone then a year later the TV Channels and was left with just the Internet at £32 a month. When I next got a letter saying it was going up yet again I called a halt on their nonsense and told then to remove it. THEY MADE THE MISTAKE OF ASKING WHY, I told them in no uncertain terms, what they had done by pricing me out of being able to afford their ever rising prices, I played the little old lady on her own perfectly and they came back with a deal, but I refused it. So many Countries now have free Internet and the UK is being well and truly screwed, and we let them. When at home there is a Co-op just over the road from my house and they have free internet and it sails into my front room on 3 bars so I can and do use that, also the Pool, the library, and places in the town all have free WiFi so I'm quite happy again.

I'm with BT and paying OTT for BB and phone (no TV) ... so I'm now prompted to do something about it. Just googled up this ... https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/ut...customer-tips/ ... You may want to look into it Robert.

BT isn't so bad if you have entire family sharing a package. With 4 of us sharing the same package we found going to cheaper packages actually cost us more. You have to really do the sums and look at what you are getting to see any savings IMO

The ridiculous thing is, PlusNet is owned by BT and yet PlusNet prices are so much cheaper.

I have a feeling they are more likely to match BT eventually than BT go down to meet plusnet.

That's maybe Julie, but we've been with them for nearly four years and I don't remember the price rising over that time, and if it did it couldn't have been by much..

Hope that carries on for you Barry. I just don't really trust these companies not to put prices up.

Re: Internet Providers monthly cost

Plusnet here for BB and phone, £25 a month , that's unlimited calls and unlimited BB. Im miles from the exchange and a mile from the green box so I will never get super fast BB but I get a steady 30 which is more then enough to be able to stream and surf etc

Tv I have a kodi box plus a freestat box, I can watch what I like when I like with no further costs

And BT increased our package from £30 a month to £65 a month in two years
