Would your neighbours lend you milk, sugar etc. if you ran out.

Mine do, which is nice.

Re: Would your neighbours lend you milk, sugar etc. if you ran out.

I have one neighbour who's lived next door to me for 11 years, and it's only in the past few months we've grown quite close. We buy each other treats and things like that, and I've been round her house for coffee.

Purely platonic, but she's helped me by going to the chemist and picking up my medication when I was too sick to go out, things like that.

Mine would but I’d never ask even if I needed it.

I'm sure they would but have never asked. We look after parcels for each other.

The matter has never arisen in the 15 years I have lived here, due to there being a corner shop 30 yards away.

I’m sure they would but thankfully I have never been in that position where I needed to ask them. I have been asked by a neighbour if I have an onion or a potato to spare and I’ve always obliged

My nearest neighbours are horses from the local Equestrian Centre. I'm sure i could borrow anything from them as i "lend" them carrots now and then. Never get them back though.
