Affability Day

I saw this few words today, and they made me smile.

"Today is 'Affability Day'. It is the one day in the year that is reserved for long married couples, when the husband is allowed to smile at his beloved over the breakfast table without having his motives questioned."

We ought to really have an Affability Day.

Re: Affability Day

Affability day how are yeh, good God what will they come up with next, getting out of bed day?
Whenever I smile in the morning she looks suspiciously at me “What has you so jolly today?” "I'm just my usual happy self my dear" "Moyah" (short Dublin for 'my arse').
Ah but that’s true love for you, when they don’t bother to say anything then you know you are all washed up.

Re: Affability Day

That would be a good thread, Jem.

If you could invent a special event day each year, what would it be?

Re: Affability Day

I'm sure it would go something like..

"What are you doing?"

"Just smiling at you dear".

"Well don't".

(Smile gone).

Re: Affability Day

Hubby always smiles at me, its when its a bigger smile I know something is up, I just say how much, and no.

Is there a be nice to each other day, if not there should be. Especially when sat in traffic for a long time first thing in the morning.
