Recently I took a trip up to the east Kimberlies to photograph gouldian finches though I soon was told of a good spot to photograph rainbow bee eaters too thanks to a local called Bushy. Rainbow bee eaters are very similar in behaviour to sacred kingfishers in that that beat their prey and throw it up to re-grip. This was one of many eating shots I was able to capture while in Wyndham.
