Just a quickie to get away from the cold. Probably only 10 days or so to western Queensland, so far I have traveled over 2300km. Just watched the sun rise over the bush, there is nothing like it.

An interesting journey Bruce, do you plan out exactly where you are going or do you go wherever your car takes you?
You certainly appear to come across some interesting buildings, machinery, signs etc along the way.
This trip was totally unplanned, usually I have a goal for example my Cooktown trip but this time I just wanted to go somewhere warmer in a very limited time. So basically I just set off travelling north and because I prefer the outback to the coast I also headed slightly west.
Whenever I arrive somewhere I immediately find the tourist information office for a local guide and to find a caravan park or camp spot. When I am driving I keep a lookout for signs which might lead somewhere interesting - sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
Better put up a photo, These are entitled, "Why I have All Terrain tyres"
Actually I lost the track a couple of times but backtracked and found it again (why I carry spare fuel, water and a UHF radio), I don't think I will die of boredom just yet.
Here is a picture of my car enhancing the bush with its beauty.
I climbed to the top of this hill this afternoon for the view . There is still life in the old dog yet because it was a scramble but it was worth it absolutely nothing else man made visible in any direction, just a lot of nature.
