He doesn't he's been here all along if you follow him on lbc and twitter, he is there almost every week with the odd holiday.

If politicians fight for a cause, or offer a referendum, surely they must expect to see it through to the end. We have not yet left the EU!

Why was he offering support to the Tories on Brexit, yet leaving his own party because they were moving to the right?

Perhaps we should open our eyes to just how self motivated politicians are!
What could he do ? he did all he could and thought we were starting the leaving process. Nothing else he could do and he then decided to help others.
Unless you think he should live on fresh air he needs to make a living too.

Perhaps united his party to become a party that could challenge the others...... lets be fair, they didn't all turn to the right in the 11 days after the referendum!

Isn't that what political parties do, impress the electorate to gain more seats in the house?
I can remember that you and quite a few others thought that he would remain the leader of UKIP and become a possible 3rd choice in voting.....but that idea died when he made an excuse for leaving, in the hope of getting a better job.

In answer to Annie's post asking "Why does he keep coming back?"
I would say that he made a mistake, by becoming too greedy, too soon, for the better jobs. Now he may have lost the best chance he ever had!

Re: Nigel Farage

It must be remembered that UKIP received more votes than the SNP in the GE before last but only gained one seat in parliament due to the UK's first past the post voting system.

That is the problem though! With only 2 parties fighting for government why are they ever likely to change to proportional representation?

Wouldn't you think after 25 years of fighting for a cause and winning, being attacked by people left right and centre, just listen to james obrien on lbc for a little idea of what he has to put up with, he had a right to move on and do a bit of what he wanted for a change ?

Purwell won't allow that,Julie.

If it isn't done Purwell's way,regardless of what 'it' may be,then according to 'Purwell's Law',it's automatically wrong,incorrect,ineffective and/or unworthy of the mighty,the wonderful,the never-wrong,the born leader,Purwell.
