lens repair

My nikon 24-70mm F2.8 lens zoom ring has been I suppose it is what one would call grating . Tonight it has locked up completely, so it is back to the repair shop. Looks as though it might be covered with the 6 month warranty of when they did it for a new lens hood retaining collar in oct. 1st this year.

Else it might not be covered as that is not the part replaced, but the zoom ring had to be removed to do the hood repair, so will have to wait and see what they say
