Rhian, l couldn’t bring myself to describe that rat poo. I shudder! The ones l have seen are black.

I would know the smell of mice though and their small pellet poo.

I definitely know what fox poo looks and smells like as l have shovelled up loads in my garden.
I have to psych myself up first, then brace myself!

Re: Poo Specialist wanted....

I agree with others, it's not rat's poo.

Hedgehog poo is usally much darker than that - like this below:

Fox poo is usually very dark too.

Looks like a small dog's to me.

Can any cat enthusiasts identify it perhaps?
Could be a cat.

Hedgehog maybe , they poo in the open and often in the same area daily.

Rat droppings are like large mouse droppings dark almost black torpedo shape not usually seen in the open.

Yes, I thought a small dog, but they can't get into the garden.

I thought a cat too, but bear in mind it's on the slabs, don't cat's normally do it in soil?

Thing is, I've seen it before, it's usually around the back door area. When I've Googled in the past nothing comes up like it. It's always the same colour, never dark.

Strange.

Yes, that was my initial thought, but I can only find poo that's darker, like Mups showed.

I'd like to think it was the hedgehog.

You'll have to get a small camera rigged up, Pesta.

Spike, our hedgehog has black poop. I think it's a bird. Cat's do much bigger poop, believe me I know, my garden is a litter tray for mine and several others!
