The programme maker was being interviewed at lunchtime, he said to begin with the EU were very scared at the prospect of negotiating with us until they realised how ill-prepared we were.Such an advantage squandered, on day one we should have placed our proposals on the table rather than allowing the EU to set the rules and put a time limit on negotiations after which we would leave.

Would she ask the Tory Party, Labour, Limpdems, Greens, SDP or other parties the same question?
She even tried her best to belittle him by associating him to UKIP and their policies. He was too clever though to be put in a corner by a self-loving interviewer such as she.

Your lack of selfreflection is examplatory for the brexiters. It doesn't come up to you that the behaviour of theresa may and her band sparked a lot of the reactions?
How would you feel if somebody you have been working with for years tells you he/she wants to stop working with you, but will take all tools and benefits with him? Prvious commitments will not be honoured but are subject to negotiations.
Then negotiations start, the other starts cherry picking. At last you agree to a deal. Then the other starts coming back, claiming his partner wants more. You refuse. Again the other comes claiming.
That is the moment the bbc documentary crew starts filming. Is it a wonder that some harsh words fall, the other is ridiculed?

That still does not excuse the treatment meted out to our Prime Minister,. It truly shows them up for the disgraceful people they are, even more so when they do it in front of the cameras. You can make all the excuses in the world for what we wanted during negotiations, the so-called cherry picking etc, (although the EU are not short on cherry picking themselves) but one word is definitely missing. It is called RESPECT. something the EU and its negotiators plainly lack.
Maybe it is a British only trait, because it is sadly lacking at all times on the other side's part.

Nice try! He is worth every penny of taxpayers money paid to MEP's.He is the only one with the backbone to tell them how it is.
It's a pity the EU's books aren't as open. I would bet that would be it's downfall, never mind Brexit!
