Buddah´s Hand

I have never seen one of these before today, but when ripe they are golden/yellow colour.

Re: Buddah´s Hand

How intriguing - can you eat them? Are they fruit, veg or decoration only?

How strange they are . I understand they are used to make a kind of candied peel.

I´ve just had a "google" and you are right Meg. It´s certainly a fascinating fruit.

How weird is that - it looks like something from a sci-fi film

Ooh, not sure I like the look of them, Clumsy. Looks more like someone has been buried in the bushes to me!

Re: Buddah´s Hand

It certainly is a weird looking thing isn´t it? The plant/bush/tree was in a new garden centre I had a look round yesterday. I would really liked to have bought it but not only was it too big to go in the car, it was priced at 80 euros, but you never know, curiosity will no doubt have me going back for another look at it.
