Have you got an enquiring mind ?

One of the delightful aspect of children is their lively enquiring minds .
When do we start to lose this trait ?

Some people never do

Ie David Attenborough who has a lively enquiring mind even In his nineties .

I think as we get older we start to be wary of asking questions that make us look daft... seems that way to me anyway...even here on the forum sometimes I hold back because people seem so well informed and I don't want to look daft

I ask questions all the time because the older I get the less I know

I have but I forget most of it so I don't bother as much as I used to. I remember my parents attending my school/parents evening and being told by my science teacher that I never stop asking questions. I have never been sure whether she meant that in a good way or a bad way.

What I can say is that I love watching TV quizzes and quite often my answers come from discussions on this forum, so some of it must go in.

I would say I do have an enquiring mind but I am not 'nosy ' and don't feel I have a right to pry into the business of others or gossip.

I have neighbours who feel they just have to know everything about everyone and like to be the first to pass on any tidbit of gossip they have acquired.

I live in a dog friendly village and don't socialise so generally only meet and talk to people with and about dogs !
