Just curious. The bill creates a national landing requirement for 65% of fish caught in UK wates to be landed in the UK. How does this quantity match the processing capacity avaiable in the UK? Anyone who knows?

You don't know the answer on how processing facilities match with landing 65% of all fish caught in british waters? You are the expert on fisheries, you even catch some yourself. (Fish, that is)

I did, thanks for the answer. According to you the processing capacity is much smaller than that 65% if ships from spain etc have to take their catch aboard again and take away. We both can agree that it is a stupid requirement in the fishing bill.

Watching this on TV in the house of commons.

The SNP are shooting themselves in the foot by not backing it.

This does not look good for foreign vessels thank god

As the scottish fishermen didn't sell their fishing rights to dutch/french etc like the english did, it is perhaps too much to ask to trust english negotiators in negotiating yearly quota?
To put it directly, the scots were more intelligent than the english, why put your fate in the hands of fools?
