Frost was an inexperienced chancer who got rolled over by a far more experienced EU team and Boris losing his nerve at the 11th hour didn’t help either.

Throwing our toys out of the pram now will only make matters worse as we are heavily reliant on trade with the EU with accounts for somewhere around 40% of our exports (43% in 2019) whereas EU exports to the UK only amount to less than 7% of their total (including internal trading)

We would not win a trade dispute

So we should put the EU first then ???

https://truepublica.org.uk/eu/corrup...uropean-union/

2016

The EU has developed an internal single market through a standardised system of laws that apply in all member states. EU policies aim to ensure the free movement of people, goods, services and capital within the internal market, enact legislation in justice and home affairs, and maintain common policies on trade and regional development

For the corrupt this type of geo-political arrangement, still in its infancy, operating across the borders of so many nation states on a single continent is a godsend. It provides an opportunity to harmonize and standardize practices in order to reduce risk and ensure even greater success of criminality paying off.

It wasn’t until February 2014 that the EU published its very first report on corruption and calculated that corruption was affecting all 28 nations within the bloc amounting to €120bn euros.

Probably higher now since this was published.

And how does that help exactly ?

The UK outside of the EU is already showing huge benefits which we could never have achieved as a member states.

Ireland and fishing are the 2 areas of concern.

How does it help what? Do you approach all your problems with denial, Bread; do you usually find it helpful?

I'm not approaching anything with denial. You're making things up again.

No! If I were saying everything is going great now that we are out of the EU, then I would be making things up. Rarely a day goes by without reports of some problem or other because of Brexit. The one and only benefit from leaving the EU is the vaccine issue. We seem to have handled it quite well, whereas the EU seem to have made a complete mess of it.

No, just act within the agreement we have negotiated and foolishly ratified with the the EU and hold them legally to account when they are in breach. Having a hissy fit because you don’t like the terms you have agreed and entering into a a trade war with a demonstrably stronger party is a bad idea as we will lose and unilateral breaches of international law will have the rest of the world distrusting us
