I believe Boris has already addressed that issue. EU laws ruled on the live meat trade from this country (and others) much of it going to Arab countries. Only in November a ship of 14,000 sheep sank off Romania on it's way to Saudi Arabia. About 150 were rescued and survived.
Boris did say he would stop live meat exports once we left .
The other thing too, was the money EU gave to our farmers to produce what the EU wanted, that in my opinion was nothing more than a slow but deliberate move to eventually take control of land through the back door as they are already doing in some other countries.

One other fact I realised last night is that Denmark's main export is the largest exporter of mink skins in the world . Worth Euro's 0.5 billion . Poland another , breeding foxes and other animals for coats . The way they are kept and killed is horrific.Animal cruelty in Europe is horrendous and they are a long way behind in most of those countries, and nothing is changing. I wonder which countries buy mink pelts ? Also wonder what Denmark will do about their plastic lego in the near future.

Bravo Puddle Duck !

The sooner live exports are banned the better.

Better hope for a trade deal then.

There has been speculation that once the UK leaves the EU, it could ban live exports. In November 2016, the then*Minister explained*that the Government had not reached a position on the nature of future arrangements concerning live animal exports after Brexit. Some, including*the RSPCA, have questioned whether it will be legally possible to ban such trade under World Trade Organisation rules.

Table 1: UK live animal exports to the EU, 2016
Cattle 42,515
Pigs 10,615
Sheep 483,859
Goats 1,198

The chloro chicken argument is a dud. The argument about USA chickens animal welfare being worse than in the EU is often used as a reason to ban it here, but the "behind closed doors" intensive poultry farming practices and farms particularly in Spain ignoring regulations suggests otherwise.
Have you changed those labelling laws? Because all the predicted chemically treated foods are coming!

Re: US trade deal

Hi

We are where we are.

Boris has promised no reduction in our Food Standards, so all down to him.

I am not going to be buying any meat unless it is local.

It is as simple as that.

The only exception will be specialist sausages and hams.

I will buy all my meat from UK or EU Producers as I do now.

I will be buying sod all meat from the USA.

Sorry, but boris ditched that promise:

Boris Johnson*is facing a backlash for ditching a pledge to keep US chlorinated chicken out of British supermarkets under pressure from American negotiators in post-Brexit trade talks.

Tory backbenchers warned the government was in for a rebellion on the issue while animal welfare groups and opposition parties accused Boris Johnson of refusing to “stand up to Donald Trump” and “sacrificing food standards” in the name of a trade deal.

Downing Street signalled on Thursday that imports of lower-standard American food were now on the table in the negotiations, a reversal of a longstanding promise.

Hi

Boris is a proven Liar.

He has been sacked twice for lying.

Is he lying now?

We will have to wait and see.

The next 22 weeks will be interesting.

You think the usa lets themselves pushed by the UK into the same tight timeframe as the EU does?
