I don't know what point you are trying to make, Bread, but, given Brexit, there are two alternatives: A border between Northern Ireland and the Republic, or a border in the middle of the Irish Sea, between Northern Ireland and the British mainland. Both those alternatives have been declared unacceptable by the UK government, yet one has to prevail. That is simple, straight forward logic. One or the other, and, at the same time, neither. The claim that it would be a soluble problem was just one of the many lies of the Brexit campaign. I don't feel bitter that a majority voted for Brexit, if that's what the majority truly wanted, but I do feel rather annoyed that they were manoeuvred into that position with lies.

I don't know what an e-border is, Bread, but, as with all the other problematic issues thrown up by Brexit, "should be" is no good when we need "is".

The EU weaponised the Irish border when there was no need to. The border issue is all fabrication

Hi

The EU has borders to protect it's Single Market and Customs Union.

They are not going to change it , our decision to Leave knowing there would be a Border.

But the border does not need to be on the geographical one.

The border fiasco was cooked up by Ollie Robbins and Barnier.

You non-believers seem to be accumulating quite a substantial repertoire of deliberate misunderstandings Harbal.
Either that or it is pure ignorance; realistically it can only be one or the other.

The EU itself has a smart border system which they say is due to be implemented in the first quarter of next year, if that is the EU really are as concerned about this issue as they suggest.
Which seems unlikely given the evidence, starting way back with Barmier's captured video where he clearly states his desire to weaponise this particular border.

That aside and apart from the legal challenge, we have the option to tear this part of the "agreement" up if we choose to do so and if the EU do not relent.
Thank you for that, Lord Frost.
