Many thanks for the qualified explanation.

One reason why participating in this forum is futile is, although trying to remain as polite as possible and avoid insults, results from UK posters usually contain insults and/or wild claims. Even when asked several times for evidence, nothing comes except deflections or evasions.

What a waste of time.

They say, completely ignoring the so-called "input" from the EUrophiles who have taken over this particular asylum.

Swimmy is right.
Aussies aren't happy with the EU.
How's your EU/Mercosur deal coming along BTW?

Heck, lots of EU members aren't happy with the EU come to that.
Stop posting out-of-date trash and concentrate in a reasonable manner on current events and you might receive a little less of the scorn that trying to deceive people in that manner deserves.

Hi

Very few things in life are absolute and whilst links are helpful at times, much depends on the source of the link.

A link to some sites will be just warped propaganda, and that applies to both sides of the argument.

Some things are just so apparent that we do not think they need a link.

The Australians for example.

A nation the EU does not know a lot about, here in the UK we do, we have played cricket against them for years.

They do not like losing.

The EU has annoyed them, we do not need a link to work out what will happen now.

The EU had better duck.

That's another thing I don't particularly like about the EU.

There is always the Ryder Cup though - an EU team against the USA

I cannot find anything that supports your assessment. Thank you in advance.
Negotiations started in 2018 and were supposed to take 2 years we are no nearer agreement, just recently an EU official said that they would not sign a FTA with a country with absolutely no climate policy.

Australia will not sign an FTA which doesn't give it what it wants, its main focus as always is agricultural markets

They do in the Netherlands. Dutch cricket league. They even field a team in the cricket world cup series.

Also in Italy.

You know all those promises of UKs gov concerning the sunny uplands have to believed by the people. Imagine there was only the slightest chance of all that being a giant hoax...
Wecome back to the forums Numbers. Where did you disappear to for the last few months? Anyway, you could be right about Britain forging ahead. You must have seen this IMF forecast. I'll post it here in case others haven't seen it.

IMF predicts the UK is on course for faster growth than the United States and the EU.

The UK will be the fastest growing advanced economy in 2022, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is forecasting.

The IMF upgraded its growth forecasts after the success of the UK’s vaccination programme became apparent, with millions receiving the jab to protect them against covid.
