Re: The Vindictive Nastiness if the EU

First of all, Jayne Adye's column in today's Express is worth a read: https://www.express.co.uk/comment/ex...Charles-Michel

She explains in very clear terms why the EU is not a friend to the UK.

Secondly, and again in today's Express, BoJo should cut off the cash we must pay to the EU for the "divorce" until the EU starts to play ball with us regarding the NI "border".

Hi

The Express is very good on headlines, not so much on reality.

We have left, the method of our leaving was of our choice, not the EU.

We rejected a Norway style membership of the EEA.

We rejected a Swiss Style agreement.

Boris has gone for a much harder sort of leaving and he has signed the deal on our behalf.

We are now a Third Country, a competitor, free to set our own rules, we are treated as such.

Get over it, it is what has happened.

It is now down to us, the UK, to make it work, it is down to our Politicians to deliver on their premises.

The EU is under no obligation to help us, the EU is under an obligation to look after itself, that is all.

Tell me why we rejected a "Swiss-style" agreement Swimmy when there is no such thing YET! It's still being negotiated. Even the Norwegians aren't happy with their deal and want to reopen negotiations following what Boris and Lord Frost achieved.

French had the brass neck to expect us to bailout Eurostar.

The problems facing the EU are like dominoes in a circle.

Hi

The French can swan off, it really is as simple as that.

I have no interest in the EU now.

We have left, they are not our problem anymore, we are out, they go their way, we go ours.

My only concern is the UK making a success of things.

Hi

Yep, we always do.

I doubt I will ever see Boris or Starmer at 7 on a wet morning rummaging through the reduced counter at Morrisons.

They live a very different life from me.

The EU is not the stronger party either - the TCA only facilitates their control over fishing and Northern Ireland. Tearing it up would hand back 100% control to the UK.
We should indeed. The world is watching their behaviour.

As for taking back N. Ireland and our fishing areas, any competent PM who supports his own people would have done that before now.

It is becoming clearer where Boris's loyalties lie.

Perhaps I can correct that for you.
