The UK property market is a great investment, it always has been (except for a brief period in the 1990s when we actually listened to convicted criminal Christine Lagarde and Major thought your currency was a good idea).

Anyway - any nationality is welcome to trade with the UK, which is different to giving it away to communist regimes like the EU has with China. Funny thing is, it wasn't even theirs to give away. Well fancy that ?

Big difference, but I guess everything is the same to a socialist, obviously.

It is for more practical reasons: there is much more rain and much less sun/heat than in the sheiks home countries. That is a real treasure.
(no irony here)

Re: The Vindictive Nastiness if the EU

Even Monsieur Barnier can see the self-harm that the EU is causing with it's nastiness.

"Michel Barnier warns that Frexit remains a risk ahead of presidential elections

Former chief negotiator said it was 'too late for the UK but not for us' as polls suggest increasing support for Marine Le Pen"

"Michel Barnier has warned that France could follow the UK out of the EU, as polls show growing support for the Eurosceptic Marine Le Pen.

He said there was “social unrest and anger” over immigration and Europe’s failure to defend its borders and for the “red tape and complexity” of the EU.

“We could draw some lessons from Brexit for ourselves. It's now too late for the UK but not for us," the former EU chief negotiator said"

Don't worry though.
I'm sure our EUrohile posters will dismiss this and prefer their own rabid EUrophilia to the honest words of their respected politician.

A risk of frexit exists if politicians are able to lie to voters. It's how it worked in UK. So yes, barnier is warning, because he knows lying is what politicians do. History mustn't be permitted to repeat brexit in france.
Like barnier says, for britain it is too late, that country is doooomed!

More lies I see because as you know Barnier didn't say that.
It's your hatred of our country sneaking to the fore again.
That's the only reason you post here apparently.
Hatred of the UK.

Oh zappy, it is in your own quote, even.

We could draw some lessons from Brexit for ourselves. It's now too late for the UK but not for us," the former EU chief negotiator said"

You really are blinded by your hatred of the EU.

Do give over, even Barmier says 'there was “social unrest and anger” over immigration and Europe’s failure to defend its borders and for the “red tape and complexity” of the EU.'

That's not exactly very complementary towards your beloved EU.

UK expats being punished by 'vindictive' EU officials - Boris urged to rip up Brexit deal

Director of Get Britain Out, believes the European Parliament’s ongoing delay in ratifying the trade agreement signed by Mr Johnson in December should serve as a clear warning sign to the Prime Minister. The issue of the rights of UK expats after Brexit has become a particularly hot potato after March 31, the deadline for applications to the Government’s EU Settlement Scheme.

“While the EU Parliament continues to try and interfere and question our sovereignty, its own Governments – France and Spain in particular – have categorically failed to hold up their responsibilities set out in the Withdrawal Agreement.

“Across the EU, UK expats are facing a myriad of unnecessary checks and restrictions, as well as trumped-up costs for administration tasks, such as getting a European Drivers Licence.”

She added: “Many are unable to open new bank accounts, move home, vote or even travel around Europe without having their rights questioned.”

All such rights were meant to protect in accordance with the WithdrawalAgreement which took Britain out of the EU at the end of 2019, Ms Adye pointed out, with the UK keeping its end of the bargain in respect with regard to EU citizens living in the UK.

She said: "Despite these clear failings, much of the media – and the Government – refuse to take action or raise questions, leaving UK expats in the dark and vulnerable to vindictive and over-zealous local administrators.”

Mrs Adye warned: “At the moment we stand at a clear crossroads over our future relationship with the EU.
Our government leaving them to sink or swim, typical.

Disgraceful behaviour.

We should stop payments to the EU.

The EU is quick to sue our Government for perceived misdeeds, why don't we retaliate in the High Court? Or is it because we don't have the bottle for it?
