Incidentally contracts don’t have associated NDA’s, just commercially sensitive sections which is why the Government publishes contracts which may contain redacted elements that are commercially sensitive

Contracts with other countries have nothing to do with the EU and do not need to be disclosed. NDAs are for that reason to protect the parties.

The EU has around 16 million vaccines doing nothing, they might want to first explain why they are still in warehouses and not administered to the people.

The EU should have been competent in contract agreements, they have nobody to blame but themselves. They were late to approve the vaccine in the first place because of their own laws. This is just more political theater to try and deflect from the utter shambles the EU have made of vaccines.

The EU have done irrepairable damage to philanthropy projects in the pharma industry. They should be sued by every country in the world for their lies and defamation towards Astra Zeneca.

The EU should be sued by AZ in our High Court for deformation, libel, and slander. I'd try to sue them in the USA too for that matter.

Back on topic - sort of. "Brussels humiliated as German businesses ditch EU for Britain - 'Companies are lining up!'" It looks like a substantial number of pan-EU companies are lining up to invest in the UK now, not just German ones.

Re: Britain Booms!

Britain looks set to see faster economic growth than the United States this year as the country races ahead with its vaccination programme after its slump in 2020, Goldman Sachs said on Sunday.

The bank said in a note to clients that it now expects British gross domestic product to grow by a "striking" 7.8% this year, "above our expectations for the U.S."

That won't hold water. The UK has not yet been admitted into the lugano convention, remember? Another brexit benefit (for the EU, that is)

Tut tut tut Solly.

The signing of purchases can be made to apply to the laws in the country of agreement/signature you know and hence written into the contract.

Regarding AstraZeneca their deal was agreed with the EU to use Belgian law, so any conflict (as already started by the EU, handily enough for AZ) would mean using first Belgian and then ECJ law since the EU signed a deal with AZ.
The UK and the Lugano Convention have nothing whatsoever to do with a deal between AZ and the EU or any difficulties arising from that.

Yes, clever of the EU to use belgian law, not UK, even though AZ is UK based. So lugano has everything to do with it..

AZ is Anglo-Swedish Solly so don't let your blatant hatred of Britain get in the way of facts.
Sweden is a member of which union exactly?
Yup; the EU.

I think it was clever of AZ to sign in Belgium so applying Belgian law to the contract with the EU.
We will see how that goes, but I suspect the EU are going to have their eyes blackened by this one.

That's where the HQ is (UK Cambridge BTW) but it is Anglo-Swedish.
Every company has an HQ, don't they?
ETA: Sometimes more than one.
