MP's response to an immigration question

Yet another example of the despicable callousness of a member of the scumbag 'nasty party'.

Re: MP's response to an immigration question

Only what some here say when child immigration is spoken about, rude stupid and no help at all. Just makes me wonder why they feel so supremely better than other people.

Yes, bring them all here. We can afford it.

Can't we?

I don't think anyone is arguing bring everyone here but once they are here we can't let them die in a carpark. And I don't believe we have taken as many as we promised either.

Re: MP's response to an immigration question

Got to wonder how all of the starving children got themselves into a lorry and crossed the Channel into Kent.

How could the driver not know they were there? (all that banging and crying")

Why abandon the lorry & them without food, etc.

I wonder if it was a publicity stunt aimed at putting pressure on our powers that be...?

Sounded like a family to me with two adults in there if you read the article.

But this is the Independent Headline:-

"Tory MP's 'callous' reply to voter who discovered abandoned lorry full of starving child refugees"

The term "several toddlers was used by the witness.

Slight adjustment of facts....!

Grabbed our attention though!

Well the headline is rather inflammatory as I see from the text there were two adults there too.

Re: MP's response to an immigration question

Was the the thread about the comments made by the MP and not who was in the lorry.

The world is made two types of people. You either care for others or you don't.

It's up to you to decide what category you fall into.

Re: MP's response to an immigration question

Indeed I think the MP was unnecessarily rude and not at all professional in her comment, whatever her personal feelings on the subject surely she should be less confrontational with a concerned member of the public, the public she represents I may add.
